The Transfer of License service fee is required to initiate the transfer of ownership of an AbleCommerce license.  The fee covers such services as re-distribution of license keys and software downloads as well as updating the license records for both parties.

The original license holder will be contacted to begin the transfer process.  An authorized contact from the company, or an individual, is needed to sign a document which releases and transfers rights of the software and license to the new owner.  To avoid delays, please provide current contact information for the existing license holder.

Either party may pay the license transfer fee.  This fee is non-refundable. 

Only AbleCommerce has the right to accept a license transfer request.  If you do not meet the requirements of the transfer, we will refund and cancel your order.

Please review the following requirements:

• The transfer must be a minimum of one full license of AbleCommerce software.  
• With version 5.x, it must include all store add-ons that are part of the server license. 
  We do not allow transfers of individual store add-ons  (e.g. partial orders) 
• Any time remaining on an active subscription will be transferred along with the software.  The subscription expiration date will not change.
• Any changes to the domain name registered to the license key may require additional fees.

To initiate a license transfer: 

1.  Select the version of AbleCommerce so we can prepare the correct forms.

2.  Enter the original licensed domain to transfer in the field provided above.

3.  Enter the current contact information for the original license holder.  Include name, email, and phone. 

4.  Add the product to your cart and checkout.

5.  We will contact the new license owner after receiving a signed agreement to transfer.

The new software owner will be required to setup an account in our system so we can setup downloads and issue license keys.

All transfers will require a detailed review of license history.  Time to process these requests varies due to dependencies on outside parties.  An agreement will usually be delivered to license holder within 2-3 business days.
