International integrations included with AbleCommerce

The following payment gateways support international transactions:

• Sagepay (aka Protx) - One of the largest payment providers in the United Kingdom.
• Google Checkout - used worldwide
• PayPal - used worldwide
• InternetSecure - used in Canada and USA

 

The following shipping gateways support international origins and destinations:

• DHL International - Ship and track packages from many countries to destinations across the world.
• AustraliaPost - Ship packages from Australia to domestic and international locations.
• CanadaPost - Ship packages from Canada to domestic and international locations.
• UPS Online Tools - Ship and track packages from many countries to destinations across the world.
• FedEx - Ship and track packages from U.S. or Canada to places around the world.

Flexible Taxation

Support for VAT was recently added. Now, you have several different ways to display your taxes including the VAT requirement of showing prices with tax included. You can also turn on a tax column to show the VAT percentage rate for each taxable item.

We also have full support for compounding taxes, this is having a tax on another tax. You can create multi-level tax rules and use them with compounding taxes. A tax rule specifies your tax rate and to what locations it should be applied. We call these locations Zones because they can be defined by any countries you select, states/provinces, or even by single postal code or postal code ranges. Zones are also used by the shipping features.

Currency Display Choices for your customers

The customer can select from the currency options available and display all prices in the customer's own monetary system with prices automatically converted.  You decide how many different currencies you want to have available and have the prices updated daily with one of the built-in foreign automatic exchange rate services.

Language conversions possible

We have had many customers sucessfully convert the software to other languages.  This is a customization opportunity.  There are also tools on the market that allow for website translations.

Localization Options

• Accommodate addressing regulations when you can specify the format of addresses for each country.
• Select from a pre-populated list of countries that you will do business with.
• Use common units like grams, kilograms, and centimeters when entering product weights and dimensions.
• Set the timezone on your store.  This allows you to locate your store anywhere in the world.
• Using Culture Encoding, you can specify currency, date, and number format for the application.
