Offer more incentives with coupons and volume discounts

AbleCommerce provides a variety of marketing opportunities for your online store. With tools like coupons, discounts, product specials, featured listings, mailing lists, and product feeds, you'll have the ability to offer your customers additional incentives to shop at your store.

 

Coupons can be created for entire orders, or they can provide discounts for specific products, like a "Buy 2, Get 1 Free" coupon.  You can even create coupons for shipping costs, like a "Free Shipping on orders over $50" coupon.  The coupon manager has a variety of settings so you can create coupons with a percentage or set value off, and set a minimum purchase amount if you like. A coupon can be combined with other coupons, or limited to a single use per order. You can also create coupons that work with individual products, or give them out to a special group of customers.

Use volume discounts so customers will want to buy more! You can easily create your own discount structure and it automatically displays on the product detail page. A discount can be assigned at a store-wide level, at any category level (affecting all products within), or specific to products. You can also provide discounts to member groups if you have special wholesale pricing to offer.

Shopping Feeds

One of the most productive ways you can increase your online sales is by submitting a product feed to the major shopping sites.  A product feed is a data file that contains information and links to all of your products.  When you submit a feed, your products will appear on exclusive shopping sites, like Google's Product Search (Google Base). This is an easy way to gain more exposure and increase traffic to your store.

• Google Base Feed - create and upload product feeds to Google Product Search.
• Yahoo! Shopping Feed - create and upload products using Yahoo!'s Product Submit.
• Shopping.com Feed - create and upload products to Shopping.com

 

Simply add the FTP credentials, provided by the shopping site, and then upload live product feeds at your convenience. After the feed file is uploaded, and approved by the shopping site, your products are listed with a name, description, image, and link to your store.  But, what if there are some products in your store that you don't want to include?  It's very easy, just select an option to exclude them from being published to the feed.

Creating Mailing Lists

Keeping your customers updated on the latest product offerings or company news is an important part of generating repeat business. This is easy to do by using mailing lists!

You can create as many mailing lists as you want to.  As you create public lists, they will become available to your customers immediately. Each mailing list can be configured with a signup rule and signup email. You may require that the user validate their email address using a verification system, or simply send them a confirmation email when they signup. The signup and remove processes are automatically handled for you.
