Payment Methods

When customers checkout and they reach the page to select how they are going to pay, the payment methods that you create will appear in the Payment Methods drop-down box.

AbleCommerce has built-in payment credit card payment options and card number validation for: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Carte Blanche, Discover, Diners Club, en Route, and JCB. Also included are payment methods such as "Call Me" with phone number verification, "Fax-In" orders invoices, and Purchase Orders that can be offered to select groups. We include most payment options you should ever need, but if not, then you can create as many custom payment types as you like.

Security Code - turn this feature on with a single click. This is also known as a bank code or credit card verification code (CVC); it is the 3-digit number on the back of a Visa or Mastercard, and the 4-digit number on the front of an AMX card.

Real-Time Payment Processors

Most likely your store will accept credit cards for payment. In order to safely transmit credit card information over the internet, you will need to be set up with a real-time payment processor. A real-time payment processor enables you to authorize and process credit cards in a real-time and secure environment. When a customer enters their credit card information, the real-time processor will automatically verify funds and depending on the transaction type that you select, may or may not automatically capture the funds.
