Navigating the Merchant Administration

When you log in to the Merchant Administration you will have a tree style navigation menu on the left hand side. AbleCommerce provides two different menu modes, one organized "by category" and the other "by product".

By Category

The menu organized by category (as shown above) is the primary navigation system. It includes the category tree for the store as well as links to all other store administration functions. A brief description of each section follows.

Categories

Use the Category browser to maintain your product categories and organize your products.

Currencies

Currencies allow you to configure how monetary amounts will be displayed to your customers.

Customers

Preview

By Product

The menu organized by product (as shown above) is a secondary navigation system. Underneath the Product menu item all of the products in your store are listed in alphabetical order. This can make it easy to find a particular product quickly.

Note that this menu mode does not work well for stores with a large number of products. For these stores, it is recommended to use the Batch Edit function to search for the product and then access it by the link provided in the search results.

This menu also includes links to the Product Batching and Preview functions, which operate the same as detailed above.
