Preview will take you to your online store. You will be taken to the home page of your store. You can browse your store and get a feel for how everything is going together. You can do this at any time during the creation of your store. This is a great way to get an idea of how something will work. For example, if you are not sure how the product options will look, you can add a product with product options and then go to your store to view how it will look. You can place test orders to get a feel for the ordering process and make sure everything goes as you plan.
When you click on the Images folder from the left navigation menu, a list of all images that make up the default buttons and logos for the templates are shown. By clicking on one of the image names the image that is used will be displayed. You can either use the default image or you can replace it and use your own image.
You can also add images to the store's web pages. For example, you may want to add an image that advertises a discount or a special sale.
For a list of all the images click the Images folder from the left navigation menu. One of the first images that most people will want to replace first is the store's logo. To do this, click on the icon named logo.gif. This will take you to a page showing the current image being used for the logo.
To continue you will need to have a replacement image saved.
Click the Browse... button. This will bring up a dialog box that contains the file structure on your computer.
From the Files of Type drop-down box, select All Files {*.*}. This will bring up all files found on your computer.
From the Look In drop-down box, find the folder that the image has been saved in.
Select the image and click Open. This should then bring you back to the AbleCommerce page with the location of the new image in the browse text box.
Click Upload and the new image should replace the default image. Note that when editing your site, you should disable caching in your web browser. If you do not, old cached images may be displayed making it appear that your image upload was not successful. Disabling caching will prevent swapped images from displaying incorrectly.
