The Warehouses page is where warehouse (or ship from) locations are entered. If all of your merchandise is shipped from the store address (entered on the Store Data page), you do not need to configure additional warehouses.
When you add a product into inventory, you can select the ship from location. You will be able to choose from any of the warehouse locations entered here along with the store address. The store address will be the default for all new products. Note that a product cannot be shipped from multiple warehouses.
When shipping is calculated, the ship from addresses are used to determine the available methods and rates. If an order contains products shipped from different warehouses, the order will be broken into multiple shipments grouped by the ship from location. Each shipment will be charged shipping fees separately. In this scenario, it is possible for different shipping methods to be used for each shipment.
From the Warehouses menu, click add to open the screen shown below.
The information entered here will appear on the invoice as the ship from address for products assigned to this warehouse. Enter the address and click Finish to save.
From the Warehouses menu, select the Warehouse you wish to change and click the edit button. This will open the edit warehouse screen.
The information entered here will appear on the invoice as the ship from address for products assigned to this warehouse. Make the necessary changes and click Finish to save.
From the Warehouses menu, select the Warehouse you wish to delete and click the delete button. You will be prompted to confirm the delete. If you change your mind, you can cancel. Otherwise, click OK to remove the warehouse from the database.
If you delete a warehouse that has products assigned, they will be reset to ship from the store address.
