Hello -

We have been working on a project to upgrade a site from Gold to 9. The upgrade went smoothly on our development site, and we've been working on styling the new site, copying over customizations, etc. Now that we are done with updates and ready to go live, we need to 'refresh' the database from production and run the database upgrade to get it updated to support AC9. I was hoping there was a way to just run the database upgrade portion of the AC upgrade procedure, but I'm now thinking that I may need to install a fresh copy of AC9, point to the production database, then copy in our updated files over the new installation.

Can you confirm if this is the case, or is it possible to run the database update only?

Thanks,
Greg

Hi,

If you don't have any CMS changes on your dev site, you just need to initiate Gold to AC9 upgrade process.

You should use the default database.config file in AppData folder. This will initiate a new install/upgrade screen.
You can rename database_default.config to database.config.

Thank you - much easier than having to do the full install!
