Hi, we recently switched off of authorize.net to braintree. Everything works perfect...

Except our bookkeeper just notified me the braintree reports are showing OrderId instead of OrderNumber. That means she can't cross reference the braintree reports with the AbleCommerce reports because OrderNumber is what's used externally, OrderID is what's used in the underlying table.

How quickly can we get this fixed?

I don't have access to the plugin code or I'd fix it myself pending an official fix.

Thanks,
Charles

P.S. We're on 9.0.9. It doesn't appear this was fixed in 9.0.10?

Hi Charles,

I have retired, so I no longer use AbleCommerce, but I like to pop in once in a while just to read some of the questions. I tried looking at the export feature in the software, but it doesn't give you the ability to export order IDs. So that's not going to help, and none of the reporting features also list the order IDs.

If you have access to your database with something like an ODBC connection, you can definitely use a product like Crystal Reports to create a custom report that lists the order number and the corresponding order ID. You can also use Excel.

If that is not the case, your best scenario for now, if you cannot get a hold of the back-end code, is to have your accountant match Order amounts against the Braintree report. Of course, this could be slightly problematic if you take out credit card fees at the time of the order, since the amounts would be slightly off.

I'm not sure what information, like zip codes or customer names, are listed on Braintree reports, so it's hard to find criteria to help you match things at the moment.

I know this is not the answer you wanted to hear, but I hope at least some of this helps.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I'm planning on creating a back end admin page that the accountant can upload the export from BrainTree, and then cross ref it with the database and spit back a new spreadsheet with the account number on it.

Hi Charles,

I will report this right away. Got to keep the bookkeepers happy!

Once the fix is confirmed, I can share it here.

We are planning on a release soon. Hopefully, by the end of next month.

Thanks for your support!

Katie
