Playing with the new specials widget from the last update from 11 to 12 version on a test site.

Using setup 4 column and 4 products and assigning 10 products to specials it stays static on only the last 4 products that were assigned
when refreshing page or browser.

The other widgets Featured products and Categories auto scroll through the full assigned parts or categories chosen when refreshing page or browser.

Was this intended to just have this widget static and no auto scroll?

Let me check with the dev team on this. It should work similar to the Featured products widget, so maybe we missed something during test.

Hi Ricky,

I have an issue opened with the dev team. We are looking at two possible options. One is to add paging, and another is to display them randomly. A consideration in the order of display is the expiration date of the special.

My preference would be the paging. But, either way will work. And yes definitely
