Hi,
I am trying to set up an email to be sent when payment(s) for orders are completed.

I have tried to send the Customer Order Notification email with the trigger "Order status was updated", but no email is ever sent.

What is the trick to to handle this?

Look for the Payment triggers further down in the list. "Payment Was Fully Captured" is probably what you're looking for.
