When we open up the AbleCommerce_WAP.sln file (Version 9.0.7), and go to CommerceBuilder, under Settings.StyleCop, we noticed the following.

This particular section has been commented out.

<Rule Name="ElementDocumentationMustBeSpelledCorrectly">
<RuleSettings>
<BooleanProperty Name="Enabled">False</BooleanProperty>
</RuleSettings>
</Rule>

Obviously, this prevents me from compiling or rebuilding from debug mode, my question is, why was this area just commented out from the code?

Obviously, if I added it back to the code, I can compile in neither release or debug mode.

Thanks

I checked the code you mentioned in 9.0.7 and it isn't commented out. May be someone in your team did so? This fix was added in 9.0.4 to skip spell checking.

Thank you very much, I saw the original posting dating back to 2018 regarding these error messages. It was definitely commented out by my previous developer.

Many thanks for checking.
