I found out today that CyberSource is making another change, but I'm not sure if the AbleCommerce integration uses the feature in question. They refer to their feature that lets you save the customer's credit card info on CyberSource's infrastructure as "Recurring Billing" (you can use it for on-demand also). They are going to disable the Recurring Billing functions of their older APIs (SCMP, SOAP, Simple Order, Secure Acceptance) and require the use of their current REST API for Recurring Billing features. If the AbleCommerce integration makes use of the Recurring Billing features, it will need to be changed. I was talking to CyberSource tech support about it and asked what the timeline was for disabling the features in the old APIs. The person I was talking to said "all they have told us is September 2025". I asked if that meant 9/1 or 9/30 and she said that since they hadn't given tech support a specific date yet, it was probably 9/30 or it may even be extended. I said that wasn't very helpful, and she apologized but repeated that she did not have a specific date. She sent me the link below to a PDF document that also has other links in it, or you can probably find the same info by searching on their developer site.

If you have to update the AbleCommerce integration for this feature anyway, it might be worth consider updating the whole integration to use their current REST APIs.

BTW I found out because one of our users got a pop-up when they logged into the CyberSource web site and sent me a screenshot. I logged in and did not see any pop-up. The CyberSource tech support person claimed they've been sending out emails about this for about a year, but we were not able to find any emails about this in our inboxes. I suppose it is possible that our email defenses may have quarantined them before they were delivered to anyone (we're a big enough company that we get ridiculous amounts of garbage/spam/phishing/etc email), but we've received other emails from them so that doesn't seem likely.

Thanks for letting me know. If we had more time, I would have asked the devs to upgrade to REST API, but meeting the deadline was more important.

If I had known the deadline would change and that recurring billing wasn't supported, that would have been enough for us to take a different path.

I appreciate your follow up.
Thanks for your support!
