Find an existing widget in the code
Change the widget name to something else
Rebuild the application
Go into admin and edit the inner template for that widget
Select the Content tab on that inner template

The widget name assigned to the inner template is still the old name. That widget no longer exists. And you'll never be able to find it in the list of available widgets, boards or snippets.

This creates a lot of confusion. The widget should visually indicate it is no longer a valid widget.

The widget name is stored in the database. That is why it is still appearing as the same.

I'll log this as an improvement. Thanks for pointing this out.
