I also want to express my gratitude to you and Mike, for the Ablecommerce software. I've been working on this project for five years, it does not mean that I've been using your platform for five years. We started five years ago with Magento, which was a total nightmare. Even though my company has millions in sales, we thought we could do Magento 2 in-house.

After the death of my VP, everything was thrown on me. In the 2.5 years that we try to get Magento 2 to work, we finally gave up. We have been able to accomplish more in six months in Ablecommerce (the very first 9.0 version, which was not the most stable) than we did in the 2.5 years with Magento 2.

I've been working now with the Ablecommerce MVC platform for about 1.8 years, trying to find 10 minutes here, and a couple of days on the weekends, while trying to run my company that I've had for 30 years. It looks like will be launching in about 3 weeks. Finally!

Today, I feel that I am literally being held hostage by MI9 retail, I don't think people understand how a SaaS platform can manipulate them. So, we are all very excited about launching under this new platform.

I really hope that this platform grows, and more and more people start using it. I also hope you don't mind when I constantly list recommendations and bug fixes. Just trying to improve the platform.

For clarification, can you confirm this item

* [AC9-1813] - Hidden company name field on address forms (retail) saved as empty value

is related to where a new customer is creating an account in the Checkout process, there is no Company Field for them to enter data?

And also after a customer has registered an account, they cannot provide their company name in their address book?

We are able to see a Company Name field on the admin side for Customer Profile addresses.

This issue only happens if the address forms have the 'Show Company Name' widget setting turned off, and there was data previously entered into that field. So, for example, if you had a B2B store and upgraded from an older version of AbleCommerce but didn't enable the Company field, then it would update the field with no data.

Here is the summary for the original bug report:



So, unless you are using version 9, and you turned on the Company Name field - used it - then turned it off, you would never see the issue.

Our fix for the 9.0.5 release is to check and see if there is data in the field before updating with a null value.

The Edit Address form will have the setting as well.

I wrote a 'How to' document on using AbleCommerce as a B2B store. It was some time ago, but I'll see if I can find a link to it next week.

We are planning to release 9.0.5 early next week...hopefully Monday Sept. 27th if everything goes well.

- You need to log in as an admin
- Enable CMS edit mode
- From the top right corner of the 'Edit Bill Address' widget container, open the widget settings pop up
- There you will find the option to display the company name

Also, enabling the alternative phone has no effect whatsoever in either the front and or the backend for a user. Should I list this is as a bug?

OK, maybe I spoke too soon, trying to do this in the backend because we have CMS disabled. CMS for us is a pain in the butt. Is there a way to do this in the backend without using CMS?
